Infant & Toddler Program

Welcome to the Infant & Toddler Program at Little Lites Christian Learning Center, where we provide a nurturing, safe, and educational environment for the youngest members of your family. Our program is designed to support the early developmental needs of infants and toddlers while fostering a foundation of love, faith, and care.

Our Infant & Toddler Program serves children from 0 to 24 months old, and is structured to meet the developmental milestones of each age group while ensuring a comfortable and caring setting for children and their families.

Infants 0 to 12 months

In our Ladybugs classrooms, we provide personalized attention to each baby’s individual needs. Our caregivers are highly trained and experienced in handling the delicate care required for infants, creating an environment that promotes safety, trust, and comfort. Activities are designed to engage babies through sensory experiences such as:

  • Tummy time to develop strength and coordination

  • Worship music dancing and singing to encourage auditory and gross motor development

  • Simple games like peek-a-boo to promote cognitive awareness

  • Hand-eye coordination activities such as reaching for and connecting toys

Every aspect of care is provided with the utmost attention to health and well-being, following all state regulations and promoting bonding through affectionate and responsive caregiving.

Toddlers 12 to 24 months

As your child grows, our Ladybugs and Pandas toddler programs shift focus to encourage exploration, early language development, social skills, and the development of independence. Toddlers are encouraged to:

  • Explore their surroundings and engage in hands-on activities

  • Develop motor skills through interactive play and age-appropriate toys

  • Begin socialization by playing in small groups with peers

  • Learn basic concepts such as colors, numbers, and shapes through songs and activities

  • Practice self-help skills like feeding themselves and learning simple routines

Our caregivers support toddlers in learning to express themselves, while also teaching them how to interact with others and manage emotions in a safe and nurturing environment. We also integrate faith-based teachings with age-appropriate Bible stories, songs, and prayers.

Daily Routines

A typical day in the Infant & Toddler Program includes:

  • Meals: Families provide bottles and/or food daily to fuel growing bodies. We pray as a class before each meal.

  • Circle Time: Singing, learning, and introductory activities.

  • Learning and Playtime: Exploration of toys, books, and educational materials.

  • Worship: Daily Live or Digital worship to practice using instruments, and develop gross motor skills.

  • Outdoor Play: Weather permitting, time outdoors to develop motor skills and enjoy the fresh air.

  • Nap Times: Quiet and restful times for infants and toddlers to recharge.

  • Parent Pickup: Final moments of activities to wrap up the day. Families will go home with a detailed daily report of meals, naps, and the achievements of the day.
